Biography

Combining acoustic indie folk rock and soul, Dante Mazzetti is known for his expressive vocals and multi-instrumental style. Described as a "multi-talented musician" (The Independent) and "a marksman of both vocal skill and finger-plucking" (B-Sides and Badlands), Dante is rooted in tradition yet fearlessly creative. His live performances include his contemporary take on the one man band in which he simultaneously plays a number of instruments. Coming from the folk tradition, Dante's award winning compositions have thoughtful lyrics that often tell a story or speak to a person’s life experiences.

Dante was chosen to star in Levi’s "What's True" commercial campaign, named in Newsday's article, "Best of the Hamptons" and was voted Best Male Musician by the popular Hampton’s publication, Dan's Papers.  Artists such as Ben Folds, Guster, and America have included him as an opening act for their tours and festival performances.

Being a socially conscious musician, Dante prioritizes giving back through benefit performances and has partnered with organizations such as the FDNY, Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, and The Surfrider Foundation.

Dante released Hotel Vol 1 on July 26, 2019.  "Hey Now," the first track off of this EP, was described as including "a sprinkle of Prine, a dash of Dylan, a hint of Guthrie" (LA on Lock) and "more than earns its four-minutes-plus run time" (B-Sides and Badlands).  It was also included in many "best of" lists in the music blogosphere.

Dante is currently in the studio working on the second EP in this series, Hotel Vol. 2.  This four song album is set to be released on October 18, 2019.  Sign up for Dante's email list below for details on his upcoming releases and special VIP offers for upcoming shows!
